What you need to do
Contact the broker
or insurer as soon as possible to claim on a policy
Complete and submit a claim form
Including Police report (if applicable).
Begin to collate documents referring to the claim which
(depending on the type of claim) could include:
- Packing list
- Delivery order or other proof that the goods were in the vehicle at the time of the incident
- Repair or replacement bill, as evidence of the value of the goods
- Supplier’s invoice or other proof that the goods were purchased
- Dash cam footage
- Any photos which were taken and show any damage
We will advise your Insurers
Of the claim and we will guide you through the rest of the process, which again differs slightly depending on whether the claim is for GIT, Liability or Property, and whether or not liability is in dispute.
